    i have done the same thing to a gsr and it ended up being the result to a jumpped timing belt!!! im almost willing to bet thats what happened.

    belt jumps and only 1 cylinder gets KO'd?

    Yes.. sure did.. Hade enough valve clearance to adjust my cams 8 degrees. 4 notches.. and i did so on the Dyno. made more power.

    thanks.. and yea i knew that.. Thats why I was trying to avoid hiting the rev limit that hard while racing anybody..
